dot dot dot something poetic

Back from Toronto! Everything is okay. We went to see the Lord of the Rings musical in FREE orchestra seats. Unfortunately Jerry was feeling pretty ill (and I don't mean in the good way) all week.

Here is the obligatory loot list:

CDs:
  • ActionReaction- 3 is the Magic Number
  • Johnny Cash- American V: A Hundred Highways
  • The Cure- Pornography
  • Jeremy Enigk- Return of the Frog Queen
  • Headphones- S/T
  • Sunny Day Real Estate- S/T (aka LP2)
  • Zao- The Fear is What Keeps Us Here (Special Edition w/ dvd)
Books:
  • Lawrence Ferlinghetti- A Coney Island of the Mind
  • Allen Ginsberg- Howl and Other Poems
  • Craig Thompson- Good-bye, Chunky Rice (graphic novel)
Other:
  • The Virgin Suicides DVD
  • The Hooded One Bone Action Figure
I know, I know, too old for toys, but it was on sale and is from my favourite comic... It is now currently sitting on my bookshelf frighteningly pointing at me... Anyway, I need to go do laundry, eat supper, and read. Keep it real.

Can I get a T...

Goin' to Toronto for 4 days with Jerry.

Visiting my Dad.

You have no way to contact me *sigh*

This is the first time ever I've gone to visit my Dad and not felt sick.

Time to see what shakes loose.

This could be the beginning of something else

So I guess I get to hang out with Todd and others on his last day as an un-married man. This will be a major brain workout for sure.

I think I may have a sermon welling up in my heart... expect that later. Probably next week.

Today I am having lunch with my mother.

Well, I have only one more midnight shift (tonight), and then on Thursday I am heading out to my second home (Toronto) with Jerry to visit my dad and go back to school shopping... which will undoubtedly culminate in the purchase of a laptop computer [smiles in anticipation].

School is almost here! Next week I will officially have my first three duties as a member of TCF Exec, by attending clubs and groups day, the first years BBQ, and having the first whole-group meeting. I'm looking forward to this.

Apparently I am a stoic. ApparentlyI have no sense of humour.

Hey, will there be any wine at this shindig?
I could go for some wine.

This could be the beginning of something stupid.

At least 8 young men, including Todd Anderson, Jerry Bolton, and myself descend upon the utter extremities of Peterborough for a night of frolic and mayhem, under the clever guise of...

...Todd Anderson's Bachelor party.

Oh.
You have been warned.
Batten the hatches.
Fetch the pepper spray.
Get out the canned rations.

Armageddon has arrived.
